I’m a yankee who finally found his way to Texas in 2010.
Born and raised in the southeastern Massachusetts area, then spending 12 years in San Diego California, I finally made my way to Texas.
Shortly after arriving I found my wonderful wife Carol and it has been nothing short of amazing since. I have always had a deep love of American history and in recent years it has turned into a deep love of our constitution and politics.
After becoming active in Collin County politics the past few years, the creation of this podcast was a natural progression in my desire to be engaged with the community and stir the passion of others to become involved in the political landscape.
We hope that you find this informative and helpful in some small way. Thanks for listening!
I am a total brat. Air Force brat, that is. I grew up on military bases my entire childhood until I was 17 years old when my father retired here in Texas. Texas is the place I call home, but that does not take away from my amazing upbringing that occurred all over the United States and even Italy for a few years.
As an Air Force brat, I naturally grew up with a great love for our country. Even the sight of our country’s flag in a parade has been known to bring a tear to my eye. I absolutely loved growing up in what is essentially a melting pot of people from different backgrounds. Moving and making friends every two to three years would seem scary to some, but it made me who I am today and gave me the ability to boldly walk into a room of people and leave with more friends than I came in with.
I became involved in local politics a few years ago here in Collin County. My husband and I love block walking for local candidates and meeting people in our city. We have helped with a few local elections and discovered that we love doing this together. So, when my husband woke up one day and said that he’d had a dream that we were going to do a podcast to help local citizens gain more knowledge about candidates and issues, I thought about it for a few days and jumped on board!
Thank you for checking out the NPYC podcast and we hope that you enjoy it. Remember…you too can get involved and make a difference. All you need is to start attending local government meetings and start asking questions. Trust me…it is a lot more fun that you would think!
We hope you enjoy the Podcast. If there is content you’d like to hear on the show or you have something you’d like to share as a guest, please reach out to us. We love to hear from our listeners.
